The National Reform Assembly has created 14 committees to gather opinions from relevant organizations and agencies, and hopes to see practical development within three years. The Chairman of the National Reform Assembly, Prawes Wasi, said his panel has formed 14 working committees to help in the reform process, including the committee on local administration, the committee on labor and urban poverty, the youth committee, the committee of people with disabilities, the committee on justice, and the committee on communications.
Protest in Bangkok Against Management Plan Proposal at WHC Meeting
A number of demonstrators gathered in front of the UNESCO Office in Bangkok since last night to wait for the the World Heritage Committee's decision on the disputed Preah Vihear Temple. Chinese students studying in a university in Bangkok join Thai government officials and civic groups in wishing His Majesty the King good health at Siriraj Hospital today. Chinese students from Guangxi Agricultural College who are studying at Phra Nakhon Rajabhat University in Bangkok today sign visit books for the King at the hospital's Cetennial Pavilion.
PM to Push for National Savings Fund
The prime minister pledges to push for the national savings fund draft bill for independent professionals as part of the government's effort to implement a full welfare service. Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said he will push for the draft bill on a national savings fund for people outside the state-run social security fund. Abhisit said the savings fund will require its members and their local administration organizations to pay contribution.
New Artificial Reefs Planned in South
Several state agencies have joined hands to make artificial coral reefs to help rehabilitate the marine ecosystem in southern Thailand. Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister Theera Wongsamut today received a number of materials which could be used to help rehabilitate the marine ecosystem of Thailand's southern sea.

Minister to Propose Diesel Price Cut
The deputy finance minister confirmed his plan to propose a temporary cut on diesel price by two baht a liter to the finance minister next week in hope to cut costs for transport operators. Deputy Finance Minister Mun Patanotai said next week, he will submit to Finance Minister Korn Chatikavanij the proposal to ask PTT to lower its diesel price by two baht a liter for transport operators.

Members of the private sector are worried persistent polical unrest will affect tourism and consumption. Meanwhile, industry players are calling the government to quickly restore stability in the Kingdom. Deputy CEO of Krung Thai Card, or KTC, Worawut Nisapakulthorn said since the beginning of the latest spate of political violence, credit card applications have dropped by 20 percent.
