This week we'll take a quick look at the movies Salt (2010), Splice, Marmaduke and Step Up 3 (3D), which are scheduled to be released in the kingdom over the coming weeks.
Salt
CIA officer Evelyn Salt (Angelina Jolie) swore an oath to serve and honor her country, but her loyalty is put to the test when a defector accuses her of being a Russian spy.
Salt goes on the run, using all her skills and years of experience as a covert operative to avoid capture. Her efforts to prove her innocence only serve to cast doubt on her motives, as the hunt to uncover the truth behind her identity continues and the question remains: "Who is Salt?" - Opens August 5.
Splice
Two rebellious young scientists - Elsa (Sarah Polley) and Clive (Adrian Brody) - defy the legal and ethical boundaries of their time and decide to continue with an extremely hazardous experiment: splicing together human and animal DNA to create a new creature.
Dubbed 'Dren', the creature rapidly develops from a deformed female infant into an attractive but dangerous winged human-chimera. The creature soon forms a bond with her creators, but the consequences may prove to be deadly. - Opens August 5.
Step Up 3 (3D)
A group of street dancers, including Luke (Rick Malambri) and Natalie (Sharni Vinson), team up with New York University freshman Moose (Adam Sevani), and find themselves pitted against the world's best breakdancers in a high-stakes showdown that will change their lives forever. - Opens August 5.
Marmaduke
Phill and Debbie Winslow (Lee Pace and Judy Greer) decide to move their family from Kansas to Orange County (Southern California), but the move also means a whole new way of life for their enormous Great Dane, Marmaduke.
It's chaos at home and awkward at work as the Winslows struggle to control their mischievous canine. - Opens August 12.
