Criminals have freedom in Thailand but Thailand's law-abiding citizens don't. The people don't even get the support of the police or military. If the military wants to throw a coup how about first executing their own corrupt members, the corrupt police and then getting rid of all the corrupt politicians by shooting them and burning their bodies. The people would thank them after that coup.

It belongs to those who are born in it In time they will hve to answers for it. One things for sure without the US during the Japanese war we will be speaking Japanese. Live life as it comes and enjoy it while you can and do not blame.

Lately the world just seems to be a terrible place. The governments are doing nothing for the average person. It's all for the rich. The law even seems to support that. The only way out of this misery might be from the bottom up using violence against those in government who have been corrupted. As it is now the governments of the world are killing their citizens. It seems taking care of all your citizens and common good are gone.

I'm tired of hearing police breaking up criminal activity and telling reporters that it was operated by 'influential figures' Well, if they know who did it arrest them. If there are influential figures who just can't seem to be arrested maybe those people should just have 'accidents'.

Thammasart's Administrative Board should clarify to the public that what 'Nitirad Gangster' is doing is not called ' freedom of speech'. You guys have to be straight and right to the point, otherwise it will just confuse Thai society that the Nitirad Gangster is expressing their freedom of speech. To threaten, to insult, or even to say profanity words against the King is not at all freedom of speech.

I blame everything bad in Thailand on the Democrats. They have had a century with many of those years military support yet Thailand's poor are still uneducated and corruption is rampant. The Democrats are nothing but repressors who have kept development away from the nations poor by hording the nations wealth and using laws to supress ideas and change. The Democrats and the cult are the main Thai problem.

The people going after the Nitiraj group are today are the people who cheered the killing of Thammasat students in the past. Thailand is full of murderers who never saw a day in jail for their crimes. That's a fact. You know it. The people in Thailand with swords know that swords certainly are mightier than the pen if you cut off the writer or speakers head.

With all the crimes happening in Thailand, it's a shame that people are going to jail for decades just for their opinions. It just shows that Thailand suffers from total insanity. Thailand is a cult that survives on hypocrisy, misinformation, exploitation and crime.

Should we be glad that Thailand's PM has recently been mentioned about her gorgeous dressing style in a British daily middle-market tabloid newspaper 'Daily Mail'. The brainless Barbie doll should start considering herself if she wants to be labeled 'look good' but 'stupid' or not. Keep dressing up, baby, but you can't be better than those Pretty girls from Motor Show because they are not brainless. They can at least describe the quality of the products and convince visitors to buy the car.

It's true that the oldest in thevarious government offices around the nation are the ones who should have stopped corruption. They have had all the time in the world yet corruption and incompetence in office is out of control in Thailand. You can't throw the blame on the 30-40 year olds for that. The people at the top should have spoken out more aginast it and fought it with more sincerity long ago.
Mrs Veena , Surin (1/27/2012 4:24 AM)
Prayuth is a good man in some ways but in all his time in the military has he stopped the corruption there? What has he done to stop the corruption there? When those involved in the military overcharge the government or get benefits from purchases, they are traitors to the nation. Stop corruption in Thailand. The old folks like Prauth have had a long long time to prove that they are against corruption. Have they proven that they are against it?

It's so embarrassing that Thailand has such a wicked government, of which the cabinet members are not knowledgeable and unskilled in what they are assigned. Having a brainless PM already made Thailand in a downturn, but now getting a new cabinet members has even made a crisis !

I wonder if the current frontpage of the Bangkokpost (June 24, 2012) with the cover pic of HM the king approving Yingluck's new cabinet is an example of Les majeste. The title says 'Government Under Fire' With the picture of the King below, it suggests that HM might eb angry at Yingluck's government. The title is a terribly bad choice and may violate Thai laws if it is intended to be propaganda. Check into it.

These earthquakes are not ending. Based on the total quantity, there is a very high chance for another major one somewhere in the world. My first guess is in the area of the India/China/Burma border. Second would be in the sea/islands north of New Zealand. Finally, I would say in Russia's far east on or south of the Kamchatka Peninsula.

Thaksin and Apisit and the rest of the PMs as well as other social figures rarely accuse any individual of corruption. Thailand is loaded with corruption but the leaders here obviously fear speaking about it or can't because they too are terribly corrupt.

Do you believe in ghosts? You shouldn't. And people shouldn't be putting fear of ghosts into the ignorant minds of the uneducated and young. Seeing what the country people do when a child has a bad dream about a ghost is shocking. Instead of telling the child its just their imagination they still use rituals to give the child a belief that the ghost will go away. I say these BS rituals just make the child a strong believer. Don't play with childrens' minds. When are the ignorant Thais going to be led away from this nonsense by their leaders and by the monks? Buddhism has nothing to do with fortune-telling or ghosts. What's happening in Thailand is a shame.

Regarding the Thai handling of the terrorist warnings issued by foreign govs to BKK. The only thing the Thai officials were on top of - they were on top of their thumbs up their asses. They sat on all of this until they were forced to address it - just like everything else.

The problems with Thailand are the majority of its teachers who mostly are lost in time. They haven't developed themselves with the passing of time. They often just don't care about teaching anymore. They have come to accept the problems in their schools as not being problems or as unsolvable. Teachers need to wake up stop making excuses for the problems that are serious and real. Teachers need to fight for the students and for themselves. Teachers are a big part of the problem right now and the key to making the changes that they themselves require for better education and schools. Teachers must fight. Rise up and fight!
teacher , school (1/18/2012 6:46 PM)
Teachers should assign homework to primary schools students which requires anything typed or from the Internet. They should be using their minds and thinking and creating simple assignments not copying from the Internet or having their relatives type things up for idiotic school teachers. The same goes for high schools. Teachers shouldn't assume that every kid has a computer to use everyday or that a kid's family has money to send them to use Internet cafes. Make assignment that are based on thinking and let students write their opinions rather than type up large copied works that the teachers don't read. Thailand has a serious problem with this.

Oh Thailand has soo many problems. Stop complaining YOU chose matter over minds. You like to keep the Thai people stupid so you can control them. Well, guess what they are choosing stupid things on a daily basis. If only they could legally be concerned with bigger issues. That's not possible. The media in Thailand is controlled. What you see happening is the best choice the people of Thailand. They don't think about abstract issues like justice, equality, morality, freedom, etc. They value material things. The problems Thailand has are a direct result of those in power for the last century. Enjoy them!

People won't give up their lives for the rich corrupt people in Bangkok. get ready for it. I Miss our house in Lam Luk Ka. It was our Home until the Politicans decided to Flood our area to save bangkok. For a four or five hundred thousand Baht we could do repairs and refurnish it back to its perflood condition. But there is NO Guarantee that when the next flood comes ( Make no mistake about that ) we will not be sacerficed to save bangkok. Then we would loose everything for the second time. My advice to all who were betrayed by the goverment do NOT let it happen the second time. If it would of been a natural disaster we may of rebuilt and lived our lives in out in our house in Pathum Thani, Lam Luk Ka.. But it was not it was Political decisions that ruined our lives. We now live in a very small condo in the Rayong area were we will be safe from the floods and Politicans who do not care about anything other of bangkok. Just their political well being and nothing else

Chris it does seem crazy to me too but if you are truly objective about the state of Thailand and the way it treats its 'average' citizens its not crazy it's just doing the same for the people who have been left behind. The whole system is an insane failure where the poor are abused and the the wealthy never see jail time even if they kill the poor. Until the whole system is broken down into something that meets modern democratic standards for all its people in a variety of areas but especially in the area of justice, anything goes. Change has been needed in Thailand for a long long time.

To accuse any one party of corruption is insanity. All political parties are corrupt. The ministers are especially corrupt. For a perfect example of this look at the roads in BuriRam then look at the roads in Surin. Why are Surin's roads so terrible and every road in BuriRam a fourlane highway. It's not fair. The politicians who steal money to help their friends are sinners. Politicians should be helping all people. If they cannot, then we must look at the other politicians as enemies. Should we do this? Once we accept that these politicians are enemies, what should we do to them to end their crimes against 'our' people?
